Rock blasting in Mairinque to advance the duplication works on Raposo highway

Safe and Efficient Procedure Ensures Continuity of Works

CCR ViaOeste is carrying out rock blasting in the Mairinque stretch as part of the duplication works on the Raposo Tavares highway. Between May 18 and 30, from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, important removals took place. Additionally, it is important to note that weekly rock blasting is occurring in the stretch between São Roque and Mairinque.

CCR ViaOeste Chooses Rompex

To ensure safety and minimize impact on drivers’ daily routines, CCR ViaOeste chose Rompex, a rock fragmentation technology that provides lower ground vibration and greater predictability in debris projection. This method is less aggressive than explosives and more sustainable.

The removal of rocks is a key part of the Raposo Tavares Highway duplication project, authorized by ARTESP and validated by CETESB. During the procedure, lanes and access roads are isolated within a 100 to 500 meter radius, depending on the surroundings. After blasting, machines and crews are ready for debris removal, ensuring the roads are quickly reopened.

We recommend that drivers and residents plan their routes in advance, taking into account the scheduled road closures. As an alternative, the Castello Branco Highway is an option.

CCR ViaOeste continuously monitors traffic through its CCTV system and provides customer support via the CCR ViaOeste Hotline (0800 701 5555) and WhatsApp (11 2664-6120).
